WHITE LIGHT festival

For ten seasons, Lincoln Center’s White Light Festival centered on music’s transcendent power, enabling audiences to experience moments of connection in an increasingly frenetic and fragmented world. I established the festival’s identity from the ground up working closely with a team to formalize Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss’ vision.

The Mostly Mozart Festival, a beloved New York summer tradition for more than 50 years, spread its wings in 2018, expanding to include more multidisciplinary presentations, enhancing its commitment to the music of our own time. It required a rebrand.
I captured the iconic season art collaborating with photographer TOMO at a dress rehearsal of Bernstein’s Mass at the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s iconic Walt Disney Hall, a production that later was part of the Mostly Mozart Festival 2018 season.

LANG LANG

Live From Lincoln Center’s Lang Lang’s New York Rhapsody featured internationally acclaimed pianist Lang Lang and celebrated artists including Rufus Wainwright, Regina Spektor, Suzanne Vega, Lisa Fischer and Grammy-nominated singer Andra Day. The production was Lang Lang’s love letter to New York, the city he considers his adoptive home, set to the music that helped make this city so famous.
To bring the set to life I envisioned a huge typographic treatment of Lang Lang’s name, usually seen on rock bands’ stages, against a New York City skyline. I worked with Emmy Award-winning executive producer of Live From Lincoln Center Andrew C. Wilk and set designer Travis A. George to realize the concept. Alan Adelman was in charge of the spectacular lighting design.
